You can't limit God to only work through certain music genres. God is bigger than our taste in music. He can use anyone and anything to spread His word whenever and however He wants. There are many Christians breaking down and bad mouthing the Christian rock / metal scene that it’s scary. Where is the love and unity? The bible tells us that God even spoke through a donkey (Numeri 22). If God can speak through a donkey He can certainly speak through rock and metal music. God has no limitations. God works through any medium, and anyone that are submitted to Him (Luke 1:37, Jer 32:27). People should not take God’s place and say that God does not like certain music styles just because you don’t - that is wrong. The South African Christian metal / rock / hardcore music scene has grown with bands going into dark places; taking a stand for Jesus, reaching out to the unsaved and the lost. The reality is there are Christians who will just not go to these places. God has raised up mighty warriors who are not afraid to reach out and plant seeds in the hearts of unsaved people where many fear to tread. |
